Sum-up meeting of EU young farmers’ mission to China held in Beijing
The sum-up meeting of EU farmers’ mission to China under the China-EU Project on Capacity Building for Young Professional Farmers and Agricultural Professionals was held in Beijing on 17 Nov. 2017.
Bi Meijia, MOA Senior Advisor and Director General of the Department of Personnel and Labor, addressed the meeting and presented certificates to the first group of 9 EU young farmers to China for exchanges and learning.
These 9 members from Greece, Italy and other EU member states, visited farms, cooperatives, universities, and agricultural enterprises in Beijing, Guangdong and Guangxi over the past two weeks. They exchanged views with Chinese counterparts on challenges and opportunities facing agriculture in the future.
The EU farmers’ mission to China is part of activities to implement the Joint Declaration on the Establishment of an EU-China Project on Capacity Building for Young Professional Farmers and Agricultural Professionals signed by the EU and the MOA in April this year. The Project aims at providing a platform for mutual learning for Chinese and EU young farmers
