The new “Hygienic Standard for Feed” is a mandatory national standard
On October 14, 2017, approved by AQSIQ and SAC, the revised Hygienic Standard for Feed was officially released and will be put into implementation 1 May, 2018.
The new “Hygienic Standard for Feed” is a mandatory national standard. It focuses on inorganic pollutants and stipulates fungal toxins and the limited value of all kinds of toxic and harmful pollutants in feed raw materials and feed products.
The revisions are mainly focusing on the following aspects. First, it has increased pollution projects which include inorganic pollutants, natural plant toxins, fungal toxins, organichlorine pollutants and microorganisms. Second, types of feed are expended, which cover feed raw materials, additives premixed feed, concentrated feed, concentrate supplement feed and compound feed. Third, it has refined the limited value of feed products in different feed raw materials, different animal types and different growth stages. Forth, with progressing detection technology, it has added and revised the test methods of some projects. Particularly, the new standard changed the limit of total arsenic.
