Vietnam: The volume of Mekong Delta seafood will expect increase by 400,000 tonnes in 2014
In 2014, the area of aquaculture farming in Mekong Delta has reached to 800,000 hectares, increased by 5,000 hectares compared to 2013, lead to Mekong Delta seafood will expect reach 2.4 million tonnes, increase by 400,000 tonnes compared to 2013.
Specially, there are 5,500-6,000 hectares for Tra catfish farming. It is expected reach 1.2 million tonnes.
However, only 50% hatchery reaches the standard to supply for farmers.
