Vietnam’s milk market in 2013 and vision 2017
Vietnam’s milk market was strong development in 2013. Specific, the volume of milk has estimated reach 670,000 tonne, equally VND18 billions in 2013. It is forecast to grow to 1,000 tonne in volume, equally VND34, 000 billion in 2017. The volume of milk powder has estimated reach 70,000 tonne, equally VND28, 000 billion. It is forecast to grow to 90, 000 tonne, equally VND48, 000 billion in 2017.
In 2013, Vietnam had imported milk and milk product over USD1 billion, increased by 67.44% compared to 2012.
By 2020, Vietnam will expect reach 500,000 dairy cattle to supply 1 million tonnes milk per year.
